Loop the Loop

A biographical musical about Lincoln Beachey, the most famous American you’ve never heard of. In the early 20th century, one in every five Americans had seen the daredevil aviator fly. They showed up in droves to watch him take to the skies, performing the most stomach-churning, gravity defying feats of his own invention. The Dip of Death, the Figure Eight, the Vertical Drop. He dived bombed the White House and Congress to prove that the security of the nation’s most austre institutions had not yet caught up to the aviation age. He was the first pilot to reach terminal velocity, to recover from a nose-dive spin, to make a deadstick landing. Yet, after numerous aspiring young aviators lost their lives attempting to emulate his maneuvers, Beachey hung up his aviator’s goggles. However, when a daring pilot on the other side of the world managed to pull off the trick that had eluded Beachey his entire career — the Loop the Loop — he decides to come out of retirement for one last daredevil flight over San Francisco Bay…
