Friend of dorothy

After hearing the term “Friend of Dorothy” used as a coded reference to gay men, the Navy believes a cabal of homosexuals has infiltrated their ranks. A years-long investigation is launched to track down the elusive and non-existent “Dorothy.” When Archie, a young member of the Navy’s gay hunting task force, sets foot in New York City, he discovers he may be more friendly with Dorothy than he was ready to admit. Set in the late 1970s to early 80s, this synth-pop disco musical celebrates queer joy in the face of fascistic government incompetence.

Friend of Dorothy is currently in drafting stages and seeking commission.
