Friend of dorothy

After the Navy gets word of a cabal of homosexuals in their ranks led by the elusive “Dorothy,” a years-long investigation is launched to track down the woman. The problem is, she never actually existed. Archie, a young member of the task force, sets foot in New York City for the first time during Pride, and while doing undercover work in a drag dive, discovers he may actually also be one of Dorothy’s so-called “friends.” Set in the late 1970s to early 80s, this synth-pop disco juke box musical celebrates queer joy in the face of fascistic government incompetence.
